Valedictorian Speech 2015

December17

Hello and welcome everyone to my latest post and today’s topic is all about me and my valedictorian speech this year. I hope you enjoy reading and don’t forget to comment and follow/subscribe! So what are we waiting for? Let’s release the VALEDICTORIANS!

                                                                                                               VALIDICTORIAN SPEECH

So, here we are, almost at the end of our journey at primary school. But at the same time, we’re about to start a whole new journey in high-school, just as we started our journey here in prep. I would like to congratulate my fellow year 6 classmates who have also completed their journeys. It has been an honour to be at Moonee Ponds Primary School for the past 7 years.  In some ways, these 7 years have been long and short. Long because of all the drama and extra homework, short because of the life-long friendships, the lasting memories and the truly amazing things we have learnt throughout our time here. Good or bad, long or short, I will always remember this place. Our teachers, of course, spend an inhuman amount of time here, and most students do as well. Most of them even do it off their own choosing.

I remember when it was my first day at school; I was in a surrounding that I didn’t know. But as time went on, I started to like this place. By the end of prep, I already made quite a few friends. I remember I used to chase Tait, Cian, Ben and Ferris around at Lunchtimes, and once I even crossed the red line and got in trouble for the first time. By year one, I started bragging about being older than all the preps and grade ones, until one day, Madeline Vorrias approached me and ben grey and asked us if we were preps last year, we nodded. Then she started bragging about being in grade two, and I had learnt my lesson.

Whatever we decide, most of us will agree that Moonee Ponds Primary School was a great place to foster our minds and bodies in this critical learning phase. I am a totally different person than I was seven years ago. I hope I am also a better one. I learnt so much- my interests, myself and so on. I feel like if I go back in time, my younger self won’t recognise me! I hope this passion for learning carries on when I have to search out into myself instead of biking into class and taking notes.

In grade two, I had one of the greatest learning years, being the spelling bee in the class! The biggest event was the grade two sleep-over. That’s when we first got to sleep at the SPC; boys were on one side, and a whole row of girls on the other side. There were only about 10 boys in grade two then, so we took a little corner. We had casual clothes on that day, so that was awesome. I slept next to Tait, and we practically talked all night.

Grade three was one of my best years at M.P.P.S. I missed camp that year, as we were off to London, so I had something better than camp. But I did hear that camp was great that year. We did quite a few special things in Zoya’s class that none of the other classes did, like having a fish and chips picnic at the end of the year. The most interesting part was that I never got full marks on my maths tests until the very last test, when I got 50 out of 50. Now that’s a huge improvement!

The biggest thing I have learnt again and again, I am probably speaking for a lot of us here, is that we only get one trip around this rock. We might as well enjoy it. If you find a balance between work, school or otherwise and have fun. “All Work and no Play makes jack a dull boy.” It’s not just the quote from a movie, it’s the truth. A well rounded person is someone who knows a little bit about every topic his or her friends discuss. And an interesting person can take that information and make a conversation about it. Even if his or her knowledge is lacking.

Grade four was very interesting, as I was in ant’s class. I loved the way he taught us things beyond our learning standards. It really helped on the following year in lee’s class. The most interesting part about grade four was camp. We had three days to explore sovereign hill. We focused on learning more about Australian History. In class, we also got to pour water on our heads on very hot days when everyone had a water bottle. That was pretty awesome. But that’s not it, I also got my pen licence that year.

In grade five, I obviously loved being in lee’s class as I really like being around software (that’s why I want to be a software engineer). That year was also one of my best years at M.P.P.S. with a load of friends in my class. It was also one of my huge learning years, as I improved A LOT on my handwriting, making speeches including impromptu speeches and much more. By the end of that year, I was a completely different person than I was at the start.

Others may get the right to work, or even take a year or more off to decide what they want to do. Leaving primary school is such a brutal decision, that I don’t know what the world has in store for us. Just thinking about all those exams and decisions between high schools give me the headaches! But I do know how do deal with those life events, though: By using the skills and information I have picked up here. It all comes down to help, and I have got plenty of people to thank for that. Parents, of course, teachers, friends. I guess the biggest thing I have learnt in primary school is to help others when needed.

Finally, in grade six, my last year in primary school, I am in Jude’s class. I learnt quite a few new statements and words. I think the biggest event of this year was Camp, which I sadly missed due to the confusion of a trip to Bangladesh. Jude tells us heaps of stories in class time…so I guess I’m lucky to be in Jude’s class!

To everyone who changed our lives, we all say thank you. To Parents who stood by us no matter what. To teachers who tried to give us a passion for learning. To administrators who tried to make our primary school experiences as amazing as possible. To friends who were always by our side and all the people we depend on. Without each other, there would be no purpose of being here, no way to advance. Life, like society, is exactly how we make of it. So I thank everyone for being with us in every step.

Sincerely, and from the bottom of my heart, thank you all.

Behind the News: Aussie News!

December6

Hello and welcome everyone to my latest post and today’s topic is all about this weeks BTN in which the topic is Aussie News. I hope you enjoy reading and don’t forget to comment and follow/subscribe! So what are we waiting for? Let’s release the News!

This year as 2015 started of with peace, with Australia rejecting chaos. But eventually it didn’t turn out to be that simple. Tony Abbot released his new 2015 budget, and supported Bronwyn Bishop along with her scandal, in which she flew on a luxurious chopper to a conference with the cost of $5227. By September, things in Canberra started to fall apart and Australia had found themselves a new leader, introducing Malcomn Turnbull.

This year, Uluru was given back to their traditional land owners, the aboriginals by the governor general, with a lot of new historical moments such as the Wave hill walk off where Aboriginals protested and fought for their land.

Along with all this chaos, two Australian criminals where captured in Indonesia, a new national anthem is requested by many. All this just proves how busy Australia really is.

Finally, one of two understandings I now have include: Jhonny Debb brought a pet into the country without following the terms and conditions this year.

AND

There has been a LOT going on in Australia in the year 2015!

Finally, one question I now have includes: Is Australia in a happy state?

100 Word Challenge: Week #11

November24

Hello and welcome everyone to my latest post and today’s topic is all about this week’s 100 WC! The prompt for today’s challenge is simply a photo a organizer took from New Zealand: I hope you enjoy reading and don’t forget to comment and follow/subscribe! So what are we waiting for? Let’r release the words!

I quickly got into the front seat as I stacked all my belongings at the back at the car. With-in moments, the car was going at 100 KM P/H. I turned left at fifth avenue and continued along Manchester Rd, shortly afterwards taking a sharp right turn at ring street. I just had to get to that birthday party with-in 5 minutes! With only 500 M left, as I was starting to slow down and look for a free parking slot, a HUGE lion-ish  creature appeared in front of my screen. The lion had eaten me once again in the Driving Phobia 2 game.

NOTE: All the letters in Italics is the actual story

AND

The story is exactly 100 words, not 197

Here is my work on Audacity:

The Phyco Cricketer–NARATIVE

November19

Hello and welcome everyone to my latest post and today’s topic is about my awesome narrative that I have been working on for WEEKS along with my classmates who have been working on their own narratives. I hope you enjoy reading and don’t forget to comment and follow/subscribe! So what are we waiting for? Let’s release the Wordy Narrative!

I dropped the phone in absolute HORROR! Is the ICC trying to ruin my prestige? I thought to myself. At that time, I was very angry. How could have my team agreed to participate in the Apollo round of 16? I kept saying to myself. I heard that all the contestants where full of madness there! But I still had to participate, for I was Brett Lee.

Days went past, with me urging to practice day after day, for hours and hours, even at the worst situations, when I felt like giving up, I kept on going. Now, luckily, all his hard work actually made up for the actual day, and I was indeed happy about that. I confirmed that as I entered the field with a MILLION fans yelling my name.

I took guard, and the bowl came rushing at me @ 140 KM/H. I hit the ball with my wooden bat and the crowd went WILD! The ball went flying over the stadium. If the game continued that way, then  we would win for sure! The game eventually did end up that way, so that’s a thumbs up for us, thumbs down for them. We got 567 runs wit-in 50 overs with only 4 wickets. Finally, when it was finally their turn to bat, we got them All-Out with-in the first 8 overs with them on a depressing 48 runs! What a SMASH! Then, we progressed onto the quarter finals, which I was really looking forward to.

As you might already be thinking, I SMASHED everyone all the way up until the finals, passing the semi-finals. We where versing Australia, probably the hardest opposition so far. After a HARD tournament, we won by 1 wicket. England had finally won the APOLLO tournament, probably after 25 years.

Years went past as Brett Lee aged. He finally retired in the year 2025, with a son aged 23, named Trent Lee. Once he joined cricket, Brett Lee retired with only one worry. His son, Trent Lee, was phyco. Sadly, Trent Lee too was invited to the ICC Apollo World Cup round of sixteen. Now that’s a thumbs up for no-one, thumbs down for the country, especially in 2032.

Trent Lee played well for sure, but he just had some problems. On his first day at the Apollo world cup, he seriously stuffed up. He got out even before the bowler bowled the first bowl by hitting with wickets with his bat! Now that’s a mess-up. But that’s not it, after he got out, Trent Lee started saying mean stuff at his own team! He was playing for England, not America!

Because of all this behavior, we didn’t even progress onto the quarter finals as we where disqualified. By now, the ICC had realized their mistake. Now, I, as Brett Lee was VERY ANGRY at my son. Once he got home, I was yelling at him with rage. but he didn’t seem to care. Just as I was finished, the phone rang, and it turned out the Trent Lee, my son, was FIRED by the ICC forever! 🙁 🙂

Somehow, I just couldn’t bare all this. So, I went to show a mental therapist as soon as possible. With-in one week, I had found a great mental doctor, but he was too a physco man, even worse than my son! So, it took me a little longer to find a mental therapist. With-in one month, I had finally found a good therapist! Now, at least he was a “GOOD” one.

The therapist spoke to me, and after a long conversation and debate, we decided with knowledge and proof that we could make Trent Lee a good person with-out his mental health problems with-in three months. After a long three months for struggle, I had to strive for money as I gave it to the therapist.

“Thank-you!” I exclaimed to the therapist.

“Your pleasure.” Started the therapist. “if you have any more people who are low on mental health, you can bring them to me, I’ll fix them with the click of a finger!”

“Sure will!”came the voice of my excited self.

After Brett Lee was good to go, the ICC had already invited him back, everyone was pleased and he kept on playing great. BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH…They lived happily ever after. THE END!

Now, you might be thinking that they have such BORING ENDINGS in folk tales, but this IS a folk tale, it’s just in the future and is fake. May-be we should call it “FAKE_FUT tales! That’s a good one. I have no son called Trent Lee, he is NOT phyco and did not have to see a mental therapist. The ICC doesn’t run the ICC Apollo tournament round of sixteen(that’s tennis), but the ICC Cricket world cup. And ICC stands for International Cricket Council! Did you think I really played for England? I play for Australia man! and America has NOTHING to do with the ICC! Finally, did you really think that I would have a phyco son called Trent?

Just at that moment, I woke up from my sleep. Wow, so many decades in one dream! I felt like starting a whole NEW journey over again, that is REAL, unlike my fake phyco son DREAM! Now, we don’t see a story end when it’s just about to start, do we?

(PSSSSS…..Now that’s the ending I LOVE)!

Unfortunately, that’s all I have to say or write for today’s post. I mean, seriously, you really don’t see a story end when it’s just about to start do you? I hope ypu enjoyed reading and don’t forget to comment and follow/subscribe! As I always say, ’till next time! That’s all folks!

100 Word Challenge Week #10

November17

Hello and welcome everybody to my latest post and today’s topic is on this week’s 100 WC, which is all about the prompt: …how could something so tiny… I hope you enjoy reading and don’t forget to comment and follow/subscribe! So what are we waiting for? Let’s release the wordy story!

It’s just amazing how the world is made up of such tiny people. We are so small compared to the huge earth that we live in today. But, unfortunately, there are some even smaller people in the world, which we call midgets. But the good thing is, small people are known to be smarter, while bigger are dumb. And in my timeline, it is true. Once, a small speck had landed on my hand. then, I realized it was a human. How could something so tiny have such great defensive and stealing skills? For I am a Troll. END

NOTE: the words in italics is the actual story

AND

The actual story is exactly 100 words, not 206 words.

So, that’s it for today’s post! Sure will write more in future posts! I hope you enjoy reading and don’t forget to comment and follow/subscribe! As I always say: ’till next time! That’s all folks!

100 WC week #7 2015

October29

Hello and Welcome everyone to my latest post in which the topic is all about this week’s 100 WC. The prompt is called: …She just wouldn’t stop crying… I hope you enjoy reading and don’t forget to comment and follow/subscribe! So what are we waiting for? Let’s release the words!

It all started from when I was walking down the street. It wasn’t before 7 PM when I spotted a weeping girl sitting on the side of the road. I tried to assure her with comforting words, but she just wouldn’t stop crying! Apparently, she couldn’t speak either. When I asked what happened, she would just keep crying. I offered her a chocolate from my bag. She immediately stopped crying and gobbled it up.

“hmm….delicious.” She said.

“You can talk?” I blurted out, shocked.

“Fake crying.” She said sheepishly.

So…all of that….for nothing? I thought to myself as I walked away.

NOTE: the words in Italics is my actual story.

NOTE #2: My actual story is exactly 1oo words(no need to worry!), not 196.

I hope you enjoyed reading and don’t forget to comment and follow/subscribe! As I always say: ’till net time and that’s all folks!

100 Word Challenge School-week #3

October19

Hello and Welcome every-one to my latest post on this school weeks 100 WC! the prompt for this week is stated to be : “…It Felt like…” I hope you enjoy reading and don’t forget to comment and follow/subsribe! So what are we waiting for? Let’s release the words!

I got the rice out of the rice-cooker and placed it on the big plate. As I was closing the lid of it, I noticed something very peculiar. I myself seemed to be shrinking for some reason, and with-in moments, myself was inside the rice-cooker…with the lid toppling on the ground. It felt like I was locked in a barn full of hot potatoes. Eventually, My gran came over and realized that the lid wasn’t on, so without recognizing me, she closed the lid and locked me in that irritating, dis-comfortable and decent place forever(I now know how it feels).

NOTE: the actual story is exactly 100 words, not 223.

P.S. This story is based on a true event, when my mum and aunt had trouble opening the rice-cooker this morning and used a knife and neighbor to help them.

Unfortunately, that’s all I have to say about this topic for today. I hope you enjoyed reading and I will surely be here with some more posts in future! Don’t forget to comment and subscribe!

Narrative- S12014 News 2014

October14

“Hello and welcome to S12014 Live news and today, we have super big news because just 20 seconds ago, The S12014 news had been released for the first time and right at the moment, it is on live on the Xs12014 channel. Anyway, I am Darren Liv-The one who’s on live everyday-that my motto, So the super big news I Have Is that, Last night, one of our newest reporters named”Jewel Jackson” ran over to us all puffed out and said out loudly”It was heard that the Americans are capturing Muslims in Iraq, taking them to Guantanamo Bay and torturing them! Do you know why they are doing this? Because of course they are low on money and the Iraqi’s were getting rich by making oil, so they stole the oil and started doing whatever sort of torturing they are doing. Very sad true story and news! As we always say, we give everyone 2 news per day! so our last news of the day is that it is also heard from our oldest reporter named”Bob Frankston that Most children in Australia are actually getting fatter and fatter so in Sydney, a new playground was built with heaps of gadgets in it that are fun, sporty and helpful to health But still, that’s not stopping children from getting fatter and fatter because it;s only helping a few out of those out there who are still fat! So that’s all the time we have for today so see you tomorrow on this wonderful XS12014 news! Bye!

CHEEEEWWW came the sound of the TV Tom was turning off.

“Now that was great! I can’t wait till tomorrow. I hope they make dozens of these types of news! said Tom.

“Aaaaahhhh, so much comedy” Said Jake(Tom’s Brother).

“Boys, are you watching that stupid, petrifying and idiotic news?

“Yes” Answered the boys.

“It’s fun to watch” Tom said

“And it is absolutely not petrifying. stupid and nor is it idiotic!” said Jake.

“It’s got a bit of comedy! that’s all” said Tom.

“Aaaahhh!” she screamed and went away.

“I am not sure what’s wrong with her” said Tom as the boys nodded to each other.

“Wait till your dad comes!” She yelled back as Tom went to his room and Jake went to his without saying a word. Tom went in, shut the door behind him and lied down in his bed to relax. “What’s wrong with her?” Tom thought”Dad’l kill me if he knows and there is a 50 percent chance of him actually killing us both! No, he can’t do that to his only 2 sons.” and he slowly waited for his dad.

… NOT FINISHED…
